Los Bitchos
The London-based, pan-continental instrumental four-piece, Los Bitchos, share new single The Link Is About To Die, the latest track to be taken from debut album, Let The Festivities Begin!, out now via City Slang Records.
Hailing from different parts of the world the four piece comprised of Serra Petale (guitar), Agustina Ruiz (keytar), Josefine Jonsson (bass) and Nic Crawshaw (drums) came together having met through friends at house parties. Taking in a retro-futuristic blend of Peruvian chicha, Argentine cumbia, Turkish psych and surf guitars. Multi-instrumentalist Serra comments “I wanted to sound like Van Halen and Cocteau Twins – but from Turkey,”. Going on to explain further “Coming from all these different places, it means we’re not stuck in one genre and we can rip up the rulebook a bit when it comes to our influences.”
Preceeded by previous singles Las Panteras, Good To Go! and Pista (Fresh Start), The Link Is About To Die is the latest single to be taken from the band’s debut album, Let The Festivities Begin!, produced by Alex Kapranos of Franz Ferdinand in Gallery Studios, London, the recording space owned by Phil Manzanera of Roxy Music.
