Promising singer-songwriter Katie Malco shares new single ‘Creatures’, alongside the news that the artist has signed to US label 6131 Records (Julien Baker, Touché Amoré, Self Defense Family).

With the lyrics written at 3am during a week of mild insomnia. “Creatures is about the thoughts that haunt you at night when you’re trying to sleep. When you think about all the things you’re failing at and it feels like no matter what you do you keep losing the game of life” said Malco “It’s about being tired, facing adulthood, leaving youth behind. It’s about pretending to hold it together when at night all the ugliness is plastered across all the walls you stare at from your bed.”

Releasing her first music in a number of years Creatures is a turnaround from 2013’s piano lead EP Tearing Ventricles with a return to the Telecaster for a bold guitar driven track subdued by Malco’s vocals offering a serene focal point to the track.
