Cowgirl release ‘Only Lasts A Moment / Hold Me as the latest instalment of the Safe Suburban Home cassette series on 11th September.
With 11 tracks released since November 2018 and 4 as yet unreleased albums recorded. Primary songwriters Danny Trew Barton and Sam Coates have been producing a steady stream of melodic yet wailing guitar indie, ranging somewhere between shoegaze and jangle pop, with the latest tracks falling in the Latter catergory. Both were recorded during the same session when the band was exploring more gentler melodies.
Only Last A Moment verges towards a Teenage Fanclub aesthetic with bright hazy tones and whimsical vocals from guest artist Jade Blood. Creating a sumptuous slice of bittersweet pop. .
