Polly Scattergood
Prolly Scattergood releases new single 'In This Moment' the title track recent album released via Future Paradise.
Polly describes the song as “an observational narrative from a hospital waiting room. It was one of the first tracks I wrote for this album. It set the tone for the album. It doesn’t follow any rules and exists in its own little world. The lyrics for this track came really fast. I had them written down in about 20 minutes, then recorded them in the early hours of the morning in my friend’s kitchen. I wanted it to be all about the words so we built up the production and soundscapes around the vocal rhythm, following its natural flow pauses, and breath.”
The new single is also accompanied by remixes by Chris Liebing. The techno DJ / producer and Polly worked together on Liebing’s album 'Burn Slow' and Polly’s a fan of the "unique dark intensity” he brings to his music. "I am in awe of how he manages to weave my words into his sounds giving the remix this deep driving potency which builds throughout, whilst still retaining the essence of the words and the story so perfectly.”
