Recorded in just twelve days at Melbourne’s York Street Studios with producer Dan Luscombe and engineer Stefan Blair, Zone 3 follows 2025’s Force Majeure and finds Delivery pushing their collision of post-punk, punk, garage rock, synths and dancefloor rhythms into new territory.
“Measuring Cup” arrives with a punchy, restless energy, exploring the pressures of identity, belonging and finding common ground in a divided world, cementing on the track Delivery explain: “There is a certain kind of pressure in modern society to be vigilant about who someone is, what they stand for and if they are “your people.” But it’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s a challenge to engage positively with people who hold different values or stances, and a celebration when you know you’ve found someone who aligns with you, whether that’s politically, socially, or personally. ‘Measuring Cup’ is like an invitation to get on a level together and join the club.”
Written following an extensive period of touring, Zone 3 captures a band increasingly confident in their own sound. Conceived as a late-night record, it brings together rigid drum-machine grooves, hypnotic basslines, synth pulses and wiry guitars, creating a forty-minute trip through the city after dark.
