The Polychromes comprised of Adam Ross (Randolph’s Leap, A.R. Pinewood) and Gareth Perrie (The Smart Set, Lenzie Moss) wrote and recorded the EP during lockdown. Sending ideas back and forth between Aberdeenshire and Clackmannanshire building the tracks over a number of weeks. Creating a collaborative and experimental new normal for approaching music during lockdown conditions The outcome is a joyful and unique collection of tracks which lyrically share the theme of digital technology and its impact on our lives.

Talking about the new single lyricist Adam Ross explains “The wonderful world wide web enabled us to make this EP, so I’m not complaining about it, but the lyrics recognise how easy it is to disappear down obsessional rabbit holes online. I kind of wrote this from the perspective of a conspiracy theorist, or the type of person who spends hours arguing with strangers on social media. The chorus is supposed to remind you that none of that stuff matters and love conquers all.”
