The latest Postcards From The Underground takes another route through the independent landscape, moving from fractured indie and sophisticated alt-pop into intimate folk, hazy dream-pop, post-punk, experimental electronics and deep, hypnotic club textures.

There’s a restless energy running through this week’s selection — sharp guitars sit alongside spectral songwriting, skewed pop, motorik electronics and songs that refuse to settle comfortably into one particular genre. From the understated intimacy of Laura Veirs and Ada Lea to the kinetic electronics of Pye Corner Audio, Axel Boman & Superpitcher and Sijya, the playlist keeps shifting its perspective.

This week we also welcome Magic Seas to the show, joining us to talk about their latest album In Both Directions and the ideas, influences and sounds behind the record.
