Omaloma
Omaloma debut album Swished due for release on 3rd April via Cae Gwyn Records on all digital platforms.
Formed in the Conwy valley during 2015, Omaloma’s synth pop won instant appeal in Wales and beyond, with last years double AA side single Dywarchen & Europa B both earning airplay on PFTU show.
First single from Swished Walk The Dog laid the ground work for an album full of cosmic psychedelia grooves. Tracks such as Bon Voyage, Baby G & Jelly Bear have a funk element akin to Gill Scott-Heron & Brian Jackson While Romeo & Spring break follow an upbeat electronica path all delivered with distinctly welsh vocals.
With lyrics in Welsh and English Swish is an intriguing listen which captivates and transcends genres morphing between funk, synth pop, electronica all the while being gel’d by a futuristic science fiction sense which delivers something new with each listen.
