Savage Mansion share new stand alone single Prizes available digitally and as a postcard single as part of Lost Map’s PostMap Club subscription service in March (b/w another new track ‘Wig Wise’, which hits digital services March 22).

Returning with their first new music since last years album Weird Country singer, guitarist and songwriter Craig Angus describes the new material as, “a bridge between Weird Country and what we’re doing going ahead.” while going into further detail about the tracks explaining “‘Prizes’ is a song about expectations, memory, and really trying to move past all of that in the pursuit of happiness,” explains Craig. “‘Wig Wise’ is actually a reworking of a track from the first Savage Mansion EP but I think it’s found its true form. It’s about questioning the knowledge that’s passed down to you as certain. Because while our elders have a lot of wisdom to impart, they get a lot wrong too. And that to me is an interesting balancing act. These songs were both written for our third album but we’ve made the decision to put them out now as the next record sounds much different.”
