Throughout Doubtlands we find singer and songwriter Leo Bargery ruminating over the course of ten tracks which creates a collection of brooding yet uplifting songs all in equal measure. The third album outing for the Edinburg outfit and first on LNFG is a wonderful soundtrack encapsulating the current times.

speaking about the singles which have preceded the LP release Leo explains first single HeadlessEssentially this is just about trying to deal with a perpetual state of anxiety and sadness and the notion that wallowing and floundering in it all is a kind of penance for your missteps and wrongs and something which might, I hope, settle the scores”.

While most recent single ‘Dark Slopes Away’ It’s loosely playing with the tension between our built-up, tarmac lives and a desire to be overwhelmed by nature and lost in something much grander and more important than ourselves -it’s a bit of a note to self, not to give in to the mundanity.

The official video for Mt. Doubt's recent single, 'Caravans on a Hill', which you can listen to here: https://open.spotify.com/album/3aFqbeinUntukUK4YO6POj?s...

The introspective mood is continues for Caravans On The Hill which Leo describes as “Tied to driving around the East Neuk of Fife; rolling fields, forests and wide seascapes. Very much mapping the downward trajectory of a personal relationship and the tug of war between the potential for better and the draw of familiarity”.
