Engineers guitarist Mark Peters is joined by former One Dove singer and songwriter Dot Allison on new single ‘Switch On The Sky’ taken from Mark’s second solo album Red Sunset Dreams due 16th Sep via Sonic Cathedral.

“I really wanted the chorus to feel immense and to form a melodic ‘sky’,” explains Dot of the song. “So, I layered my vocals and messed about with reverb to create a spaciness to it, hopefully like rays of sun yet also a hint of a mist. I wanted it to infer intimacy and something physical and at the same time intangible.”

“I could never have predicted how Dot would elevate the song to such a special place,” says Mark. “I’m immensely proud of it.”

Putting together a new live band to tour the new album featuring Dean Roby on bass and Chris Smith on drums, Mark comments: “It’s excellent to be in a band again and as an acoustic drumkit is featured on Red Sunset Dreams, it’s very satisfying to play the songs as they should be heard and allow room for improvisation,”.

“It’s been especially great to rework some of the Innerland tracks in an organic way that gives them a more human ebb and flow.”
