Following recent single ‘Trouble’ Hen Ogledd share new single ‘Crimson Star’ with new album Free Humans due 25th September via Domino Reords.
The four piece comprised of harpist Rhodri Davies, Dawn Bothwell, Sally Pilkington, and Richard Dawson take their name from the phrase for the Old North, the Celtic region comprising Southern Scotland and Northern England in early Middle Ages.
Exploring themes of space and time travel Crimson Tide is quintessential 70’s folk pop classic with futuristic themes and story-telling buoyed by the melodic tones of Davies’ electric harp.
Dawson notes, “”Crimson Star” is a gentle, pungent pop song about a retired entertainer looking back on their adventures during the heyday of space tourism.”
