Mäya Mäya release debut EP “Cutting Teeth” on Spotify, Bandcamp, and all other streaming platforms.
Having previously shared two well received singles (Lifeguard and Fever Pitch) from the EP the 3 piece IndiePop, Rock band from Glasgow, laid the groundwork for an for an EP full of charm and confidence.
Formed in 2017 when lead singer Clara Robb met guitarist Tony Millar later completing the line up with Bassist Scott Anstruther in 2019. Mäya Mäya combine sharp guitar riffs, bold bass lines, dance beats and distinctly Scottish vocals.
Of the EP singer Clara Robb says “Cutting Teeth as an expression means to gain experience of something by doing it and that is exactly what we have done with this“ And talking previously about the second single from the EP saying “Lifeguard is a song about someone who uses those closest to him as a lifebuoy without considering that he is dragging them down”.
