Glasgow Art-Funk band Fauves share new single ‘F’ via First Run Records.
Opening with dreamy floating synth, acompanied by breakbeat, jungle inspired rhythms F is a sonic adventure which the band describe as “All of our influences are on the table on 'F' ,and they all have their own place in the big pot of soup.”
“As I look up from the bottom, feels like our love has been forgotten” Frontman Caldwell sings as a slightly tongue in cheek hip-hop crescendo of timpani leads us directly to the track’s bouncy chorus. With moments of soft woodwind flute, Synths, F sits somewhere between Kid Loco, Laurent Garnier, Beirut and Tame Impala for a heady mix which rouses the senses and creates a captive audience.
A band full of multi-instrumentalists Fauves are capable of layering textures into tracks creating a uniqueness which sets them apart, with a delicateness coupled with embracing their psychedelic funk and soul inspired R&B.
