My Heart Will Wait much like previous singles Sweet Downfall and Wish You’d Stayed Away merges Nicol & Elliott’s harmony-driven, folk Americana with dark subject matter in Southern Gothic style reminiscent of The Handsome Family or Neko Case.  Unafraid to wear their hearts on their sleeves, Nicol & Elliott’s new release is a self-explorative journey through the pitfalls of the human condition rich in atmosphere and reflection.

My Heart Will Wait was recorded and mixed by Luigo Pasquini at Anchor Lane Studio, Glasgow and mastered by Sam Smith at The Green Door Studio, Glasgow. The EP was written and produced by Andrew Nicol and Rachel Elliott and features performances by Andy Lucas (Blue Rose Code, Roddy Hart and the Lonesome Fire) on piano and Tim Davidson (Camera Obscura, James Edwyn & The Borrowed Band) on pedal steel.
