Delifinger
Stroud-based lo-fi odd pop wünderkind Delifinger, the on-off alter-ego of multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Matthew Lacey (OLO Worms / Grasscourt) shares new single I Don’t Even Want To Know, taken from forthcoming album Small Love due 16th Sep via Lost Map.
Discussing the new single Lacey comments: “One of the few songs that was a direct response to the weird situation we all found ourselves in. It’s about being able to leave the house again, being set free to see people and have fun again, but really just wanting to stay put – paying attention to the little voices telling you that you maybe weren’t quite ready for life as it once was. Deep. The video follows a similar theme; a person trapped in the house with a band of noisy birds causing havoc in the attic. Should probably just nip out and get some fresh air, but the birds aren’t going anywhere soon, and that floor probably needs another sweep anyway...”
The second new Delifinger track to be released in five months, following April’s hypnotic ‘Hold On Blue’ comes as part of Lost Map’s PostMap Club subscription service for the month of August with new album Small Love due 16th September.
